Description:

Customer of mine is a leading global online lottery services group, seeking an experienced and strategic General Manager to lead and expand their U.S. business unit. The GM reports to the Group CEO and will be responsible for overall business operations, growth strategy, and regulatory compliance, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives while driving revenue and operational excellence.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Develop and execute the U.S. market strategy, ensuring alignment with the company’s global vision.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and marketing initiatives to drive revenue growth.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, regulatory changes, and market dynamics to ensure a competitive advantage.

 

Operational & Financial Management

 

  • Oversee P&L, budgeting, and financial performance, ensuring sustainable profitability.
  • Implement operational policies, strategic plans, and annual budgets to drive efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. gaming regulations, licensing requirements, and industry best practices.

 

Leadership & Team Management

 

  • Lead, develop, and motivate a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
  • Oversee the hiring, performance management, and employee development, ensuring a strong leadership pipeline.
  • Promote a collaborative work environment, ensuring seamless coordination between internal teams (product, marketing, compliance, etc.).

 

Stakeholder & Partner Engagement

 

  • Serve as the primary liaison for local partners, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
  • Represent the company in industry forums, regulatory discussions, and business development meetings.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to enhance the company’s market presence.

 

Key Qualifications & Requirements:

 

Industry & Leadership Experience

 

  • Minimum 6+ years of leadership and managerial experience in a senior executive role.
  • Proven track record in the U.S. online gaming, lottery, or regulated entertainment industry.

 

Strategic & Business Acumen

 

  • Deep knowledge of regulatory compliance and licensing requirements in the U.S. gaming sector.
  • Strong expertise in brand development, market positioning, and growth strategies.
  • Experience in P&L management, budgeting, and financial forecasting.

 

Skills & Attributes

 

  • Visionary leadership with a strategic mindset and the ability to drive innovation.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
