Description:

The Ohio State University College of Medicine and Wexner Medical Center are seeking General Pathologists to join the Department of Pathology, with a primary responsibility in surgical pathology within the Community Pathology Division. This is a unique opportunity to join one of the nation’s leading academic health centers while contributing to outstanding clinical care, teaching, and research.

The Department of Pathology is one of the largest and most stable departments at OSUWMC, serving a diverse patient population across the main 923-bed tertiary care hospital, the 306-bed James Cancer Hospital/Solove Research Institute, a 150-bed community hospital, and several affiliated hospitals in the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide diagnostic services in surgical pathology.

  • Participate in academic responsibilities including clinical care, teaching, and/or research, depending on faculty track.

  • Collaborate with colleagues in multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care.

  • Support departmental quality, safety, and efficiency initiatives.

Requirements:

  • MD or DO degree (or equivalent).

  • Board eligibility or certification in Anatomic Pathology.

  • Active or eligible for licensure in the State of Ohio.

  • Academic rank and track will be commensurate with experience and scholarly record.

Faculty Tracks Available:

  • Clinical Faculty: Focused on exemplary clinical care, with possible teaching and research responsibilities.

  • Tenure-Track Faculty: Focused on research, service, and teaching; may also engage in clinical care.

  • Research Faculty: Focused primarily on research activities, not eligible for tenure.
