Google Cloud Customer Engineer

 

Description:

Techolution is seeking a highly skilled Google Cloud Customer Engineer specializing in infrastructure modernization or application development. This remote, full-time role involves partnering directly with enterprise customers to evaluate legacy systems and design scalable, secure cloud-native architectures on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The candidate will help drive customer adoption of GCP solutions that support digital transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with technical sales teams to identify and qualify business opportunities, address technical objections, and develop resolutions.

  • Guide customers on migration strategies such as lift-and-shift, re-platforming, and refactoring to Google Cloud.

  • Provide deep expertise in enterprise infrastructure modernization, supporting customer technical relationships, product briefings, proof-of-concept efforts, and liaising with product management to influence Google Cloud adoption.

  • Design cloud-native applications leveraging microservices, APIs, containers, and event-driven patterns using technologies like GKE, Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Functions.

  • Lead customer workshops, deep dives, and discovery sessions to assess infrastructure readiness and gaps.

  • Offer architectural guidance for hybrid and multi-cloud scenarios including network configuration and secure access management.

  • Collaborate closely with engineering and delivery teams to ensure successful, production-grade implementation.

  • Act as a trusted technical advisor, translating customer needs into scalable, maintainable GCP solutions.

  • Relay customer feedback and pain points to internal teams for continuous product improvement.

  • Stay current on the latest GCP services, architecture patterns, and modernization methodologies.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in software development, pre-sales engineering, solutions architecture, or technical consulting.

  • Hands-on expertise in application modernization including refactoring, re-platforming, and migrating to cloud-native architectures.

  • Strong development skills in modern programming languages such as Python, Java, and Node.js.

  • Experience with containerization, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and DevOps tooling.

  • Demonstrated success in leading customer engagements and influencing technical and business decision-makers.

  • Excellent communication skills, capable of translating complex technical solutions into clear business value.

  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across cross-functional teams and deliver impactful solutions.
