TH Daniels Global Executive Search & Selection is proud to partner with a prominent Agribusiness firm to hire a Grain Merchandiser for their operations in Nebraska. This role is essential in driving the company’s grain origination and merchandising strategy, optimizing profitability, and nurturing long-term relationships across the agricultural supply chain.

As a Grain Merchandiser, you will be responsible for sourcing grain from producers, managing regional market dynamics, and implementing hedging strategies to mitigate risk. You will play a vital role in connecting producers with commercial grain outlets and positioning the business for continued growth and success in the agricultural commodities space.

Key Responsibilities:

• Originate grain from producers and commercial partners, ensuring a consistent supply pipeline.

• Execute effective buy/sell strategies aligned with both local and national market trends.

• Manage grain position, basis levels, and hedge exposures through coordination with risk management teams.

• Collaborate with logistics, operations, and accounting departments to ensure smooth contract execution and delivery.

• Analyze futures markets, market trends, and basis fluctuations to inform purchasing decisions.

• Foster and maintain long-term relationships with growers, elevators, and regional partners to enhance the company’s sourcing network.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Agribusiness, Agricultural Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in grain merchandising or commodity trading.

• Strong knowledge of grain market fundamentals, including basis trading and hedging with futures/options.

• Demonstrated ability to originate grain and build trusted relationships within the grower community.

• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.

• Willingness and ability to travel regionally to meet with producers and partners.
