Description:
Shredding Hunger Inc. is a nonprofit organization focused on reducing food insecurity. As the organization expands, they are seeking a skilled Grant Writer to support funding initiatives and help scale their impact. The role is primarily remote with in-person collaboration at the West Bend, WI office once per week. This is a contract (1099) position ideal for someone with experience in government funding proposals and nonprofit support.
Key Responsibilities:
Research and identify relevant grant opportunities aligned with the organization’s mission and programs.
Write, edit, and submit compelling grant proposals and supporting documentation.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather data, program information, and metrics.
Track grant application deadlines, submission progress, and reporting requirements.
Maintain organized records of all grant submissions and communications.
Qualifications:
Demonstrated success in securing government grants; nonprofit experience preferred.
Exceptional written communication and research skills.
Strong understanding of grant application processes and compliance requirements.
Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities.
Must be available for in-office meetings in West Bend, WI one day per week.
Compensation:
Performance-based contract position. Specific compensation discussed during the interview process.
