Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Actively engage students in the learning process
  • Maintain ethical and professional behavior
  • Maintain knowledge of and adherence to the policies and procedures contained in the TSUS and LIT Policies and Procedures Manual
  • Participate in college service, which may include, committee work and advising and/or tutoring students
  • Teach classes during the fall, spring, and summer semesters as required by the department (might include day, evening, weekend, and Early College High School/dual credit); including online courses
  • Provide mentorship to dual credit partners/mentees
  • Attend Teaching and Learning Center sessions to enhance teaching skills
  • Stay abreast of national matters and trends in education
  • Assist in the development of curriculum as needed.
  • Perform other related duties, as required

Physical Requirements:

This position requires the ability to: remain in a stationary position for most of the time; occasionally move about inside an office to access documents, office equipment, etc.; constantly operate a computer or other office equipment, such as a printer or copy machine.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • An Associate degree in a related field from a regionally accredited college
  • Two years of work experience in graphic design, web design or related field
  • Knowledge of teaching methodologies/pedagogical strategies
  • Possess good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Possess good time management skills
