Key Requirements

 Compelling and diverse portfolio of past design work (if your portfolio cannot be attached due to Indeed’s size limit, please email it to art@novapublishers.com, along with your name and resume)

 Strong understanding of design principles; a degree in graphic design or a related field is ideal

 Demonstrated understanding of typography— experience with both text and display type

 Experience designing for both print and screens, with basic technical knowledge of both media-types (RGB vs CMYK, ideal resolution for print vs web, uses for different file-extensions, etc.)

 Ability to manage short-form projects in a moderately fast-paced environment

 Experience using both Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop; ability to work well via an Illustrator-based workflow

 Experience interfacing with clients; experience presenting and discussing design work in a professional setting
