Description:

This entry level position is responsible for creating custom graphics for screen-printed sports apparel. The artist in this position is responsible for creating high quality designs that are sensitive to aesthetics, while maintaining specific production and efficiency goals. This position is centered around learning, retaining knowledge and developing an understanding of basic screen-printing processes.
This is a technical position which also uses creative problem-solving abilities. The Graphic Artist will rely on knowledge and design skills to create standardized set-up files that follow multiple brand guidelines while maintaining production and quality standards. This position uses their expertise in graphic design and technical knowledge to audit final designs for quality standards, modify art files as needed, and service customer requested design edits. Artists assist in organizing, updating, maintaining, and archiving graphic files, on the server network. This person works directly with customers through an on-line Art Approval System.
This positions works a hybrid schedule, 3 days onsite and 2 days remotely. The work schedule for this position is a 40-hour workweek Monday through Friday. Seasonal daily and weekend overtime may be required to support the business throughout the year.

Responsibilities:
Pulls and self-assigns projects through an on-line art/order dashboard.
Reads and interprets orders, following directions indicated on the order.
Produces custom designs as specified on orders tied to defined product, decoration process, and graphic concepts.
Follows brand standards, licensing guidelines, garment specifications, and manufacturing requirements; creating a garment decoration that will experience success in the market place.
Runs Spell Check on every art.
Works with Senior Artists to trouble shoot files and resolve art issues.
Works directly with sales representatives, buyers, and licensors, to refine and edit art files as needed.
Works with Art Support to resolve and/or update order information.
Works with Graphic Services to create color separation files which are used for producing screens.
Manages orders and workflows to effectively meet all deadlines and ship date requirements.
Saves art files to appropriate network locations.
Assists with double proofing, quality auditing, and editing assignments as job knowledge increases.
Special projects are assigned as needed.
