What You Will Be Doing
Our Graphic Designer is responsible for using their design and artistic wizardry to solve a variety of visual communication challenges. When engaged, you will work as part of a project team or teams to help achieve success for each client program. You’ll work closely with our Communication Managers to identify client visual communication needs. You will conceptualize, create storyboards, and design using different styles and approaches for deliverables. Designs will be original and compelling, for both offline and online materials involving a variety of integrated steps and processes. This role is hands-on, you will be responsible for the successful implementation of your creative vision and you will be the point of contact for any creative plan delivered to the client. You’ll also produce reports and create website content and new business proposals that are engaging.

You are a visual storyteller. You have strong desktop publishing skills, a natural creative instinct, a good eye, and you like to make suggestions and stretch outside of your comfort zone. Just doing the status quo does not suit you. Y
ou will rely on your knowledge of design fundamentals, while also demonstrating your creativity, adaptability, and ability to inspire through design. You are a strong communicator who understands how to effectively convey others’ messages to diverse audiences through visual media. You have been blessed with the innate ability to be creative, flexible, and adaptable. You are self-motivated and an independent thinker. You demonstrate sound judgment, often solve problems on your own, and are quite comfortable working on project components with minimal direct supervision to independently design and conceptualize reports, branding, advertisements, marketing collateral and more. you are comfortable jumping into a project on a moment’s notice and quickly add value. You are proactive, organized, and have the ability to execute and meet demanding deadlines with minimal supervision and guidance. You can easily multi-task and stay on top of all the necessary details. You are the consummate collaborator and the epitome of team players. Perhaps most importantly, you can keep your artistic ego in check to respond quickly to feedback and adapt to dynamic expectations. If you have photography and/or videography experience, that is a plus!

Key Responsibilities
Professionally represent D&A Communication interacting with clients and their stakeholders
Work as part of multiple project teams to develop and execute comprehensive communication, advertising, outreach and engagement, and marketing plans for clients
Work closely with Project Managers to identify project design needs, opportunities, and possibilities
Produce creative and strategic visual content for public outreach campaigns, marketing materials, advertising, web/digital media, etc.
Contribute to project team strategic visioning and problem-solving
Exercise independent judgment in the preparation of client deliverables with minimal supervision
Keep up to date on the latest in digital and print communication tools and tactics to inform recommended strategies
Contribute to internal D&A functions such as firm marketing and new business development activities
Maintain and manage D&A’s website content and design
Other duties, as assigned
