Graphic Designer

 

Description:

The Graphic Designer, in collaboration with the Associate Director of Communications, is responsible for the creation of the department’s graphic design and branding efforts. Projects include print (posters, brochures, handouts, mailers, etc.) and digital graphics (digital sign graphics, web and social media graphics, presentations, etc.).

This position collaborates with staff across the organization, including the Health Education and Prevention Services department, to create engaging and inclusive campaigns that support and enhance the mission, vision, and values of the department. Audiences range from current students, to prospective and new students, internal staff, and the University at large.
Candidates should be adaptable in a fast-paced work environment, work with attention to detail, and have a demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion. Candidates should have a demonstrated ability to manage projects independently and also work effectively as part of a team.

The Graphic Designer reports directly to the CSU Health Network, Associate Director of Communications.

Required Job Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor of Science/Arts degree in Graphic Design, Art, Communications, Journalism & Media Communication, Multimedia, or a related field, with a minimum of one year of professional experience; OR
  • Bachelor of Science/Arts degree in Graphic Design, Art, Communications, Journalism & Media Communication, Multimedia, or a related field by May 2024, with a minimum of two years of student/internship experience; OR
  • Bachelor of Science/Arts degree in unrelated field, with a minimum of three years of experience in the Design or Communications field
