Graphic Designer

Description:

We are looking for a content creator/graphic designer (3 years’ experience minimum) that’s interested in rolling up

their sleeves and contributing to all facets of demand generation. If you have excellent communication skills,

while growing your expertise. This position is an exciting opportunity to work in the green industry for one of

California’s most innovative wholesale plant nursery growers.

• Collaborate with cross-functional and external teams to generate content and campaign assets in support

of our marketing plan

• Graphic design / Printed Collateral

o Design materials in house and manage design vendor relationship when needed

o Develop marketing materials in line with brand tonality

o Design regular customer/staff messaging in English & Spanish as needed in various formats: email,

SMS, social media, PowerPoint, statement inserts, email signatures, and Point of Sale documents

(posters, PDFs, digital displays, etc.)

o Design or keep current plant catalogs, plant guides, and print ads for industry publications

o Business cards and other print orders as needed

o Create and maintain nursery site maps

• Assist with coordinating end to end events, including overseeing logistics, creating landing pages,

managing registrations, scheduling, creating itineraries, and ordering marketing collateral

• Update company websites, Google My Business, Yelp, and LinkedIn

• Collaborate on trade shows and events, including visual look, marketing emphasis, and marketing

collateral

• Assist with photo shoots and take plant images independently as needed for marketing and web purposes

• Manage signage orders for nurseries

• Support in-store marketing needs of all selling stores and marketing team efforts as needed
• BS/BA/AA in Business, Marketing, Graphic Design, Horticulture, or related field
• Professional experience with plants
• Excellent written communication skills

• Proficiency in digital editing and creative software for images and video content

• Ability to manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment

• Bilingual (Spanish) preferred

• Must be able to work in person

Job Specifications
This is an “in office” position, no work from home option available. Must be able to remain in stationary position
of either sitting or standing. Extensive typing and computer use required. Gross grasping and use of hands and

fingers required. Lifting requirement of up to 15 lbs. at times.
