Guardium Administrator

 

Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Network Security Analyst to support enterprise data protection initiatives with a strong focus on IBM Guardium. This role will help design, implement, and maintain network security policies, working alongside engineering teams to ensure secure and compliant database environments. The ideal candidate has experience with Guardium 11.x (or later) in production and is comfortable working in both Linux (RHEL) and Windows environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement network security policies across enterprise systems.
  • Analyze, report, and respond to potential network security breaches or attempted breaches.
  • Collaborate with engineers to develop, maintain, and monitor data protection strategies.
  • Manage and maintain IBM Guardium infrastructure (v11.x or later), including GIM installation and configuration.
  • Create and manage Guardium policies and groups tailored to business and compliance needs.
  • Generate reports and insights from Guardium and Guardium Insights to support audit and security requirements.

Required Skills:

  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience in network or data security.
  • In-depth knowledge of IBM Guardium 11.x or later in a production environment.
  • Familiarity with Guardium Installation Manager (GIM) operations on RHEL and Windows systems.
  • Proficient in policy and group creation within Guardium.
  • Experience with Guardium Insights and generating actionable reports.
  • Familiarity with MSSQL and Oracle databases and their security implications.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills; able to present findings and recommendations clearly.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISA, CEH) a plus.
  • Experience working in hybrid enterprise environments with varied database systems.

The compensation range for this position is $55/hr. to $70/hr. (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location).
