Head Basketball Coach

Description:

ADS Sports Complex is seeking a dedicated and high-performing Head Basketball Coach to lead its nationally competitive youth basketball program. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in basketball strategy, mentorship, and player development, with the capability to manage a high-performance program that travels and competes across the country. Assistant Coach and Regional Coach candidates will also be considered based on credentials and team needs.

This full-time role demands leadership, flexibility, and a true passion for helping young athletes reach their full athletic and personal potential. The program emphasizes elite-level training, strategic competition, and holistic development for its athletes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Program Leadership: Design and execute elite-level basketball training programs focusing on tactical skills, physical conditioning, and national competition readiness

• Coaching & Mentorship: Lead practices, games, and tournaments while mentoring athletes in discipline, teamwork, and character

• Team & Roster Management: Oversee game strategies, lineups, and ongoing player communication

• Player Development: Craft individualized growth plans to maximize potential and elevate athletes for collegiate or professional opportunities

• Recruitment & Program Growth: Scout and recruit talent, attend tournaments, organize camps and clinics, and grow the program’s national footprint

• Competition Schedule Management: Coordinate national travel, tournament logistics, and showcase appearances

• Facility Operations: Support basketball operations during off-seasons with pro training, scheduling, and events

• Compliance & Safety: Uphold all safety protocols, regulations, and ensure a safe, inclusive environment for athletes

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

• Background with youth national-level competition and circuits

• Strong grasp of modern coaching tools (video analysis, analytics)

• Highly organized, especially in managing team logistics and travel

• Effective communicator with players, parents, and stakeholders

• Leadership with integrity, motivation, and adaptability
