Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Head of IT to lead and manage all technology functions across the organization. In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of technology services, ensuring seamless operations for both teachers and students. You will manage a diverse set of functions, including help desk operations, device management, systems administration, and networking. As the leader of the growing technology division, you will set the vision for these operations and drive innovation across all facets of technology services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a team of 30 direct reports, including leaders of the help desk, device management, and systems administration teams, ensuring cohesive operation to support technology needs across schools.

  • Lead and manage technology support services for teachers, students, and staff, troubleshooting and resolving issues efficiently, particularly in high-pressure situations.

  • Develop and execute the long-term vision for technology operations, aligning infrastructure with the needs of the educational environment to improve operational efficiency and user experience.

  • Manage all devices across the schools, including policies on inventory, procurement, lifecycle management, and troubleshooting, ensuring security and availability.

  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with internal teams, school leaders, and external stakeholders. Regularly update leadership on progress, challenges, and key milestones.

  • Lead efforts to innovate and modernize technology operations while ensuring new systems, processes, and technologies are implemented successfully.

  • Strive for continuous improvement, balancing stability with change to meet the evolving needs of the organization.

Skills and Experience:

  • Extensive leadership experience in managing large technology departments, with a proven track record in help desk operations, device management, and systems administration.

  • Strong background in technology infrastructure and operations, with the ability to oversee large-scale technical teams and services.

  • Ability to think strategically and drive technology solutions in a fast-paced, complex environment.

  • Deep knowledge of device management, including policy creation, inventory management, and lifecycle support.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage technology crises and incidents effectively.
