Make an extraordinary impact. The Health Information Consultant Sr is responsible for providing first class consultative services to key clients. In this role you will leverage your analytical aptitude, investigative curiosity, and expert communication skills to identify and deliver strategic opportunities that directly impact your client's overall strategy and bottom line. Additionally, this strategic, highly visible, client-facing role is responsible for satisfying client commitments and organizational readiness. You will own your own block of business while providing thought leadership across our organization. How you will make an impact: Provides business expertise regarding the appropriate use of data elements and cooperates with reporting personnel from other areas to establish and maintain these common business rules. Performs strategic data analysis and research as appropriate to support business needs (e.g., disease management, provider profiling, etc.). Translates data trends into strategic recommendations for your block of accounts while driving the organizational roadmaps based on client feedback and strategy Tracks and prioritizes projects through coordination and negotiation with internal and external clients to improve the efficiency of information/project plan generation. Evaluates and triages potential projects and studies based on the value, cost benefit analysis and the urgency of the request. Develops detailed understanding of relevant business processes, goals and strategy in order to provide analysis and interpretation. Develops and communicates action plans to address areas for improvement identified through data analysis and business expertise. Assists in planning initiatives to address areas for improvement. Collaborates with business user to define media, frequency and audience for distribution of information. Mentors (formally and informally) less experienced associates and identifies training needs and initiates education to address skill and knowledge gaps. Qualifications Minimum Requirements: Requires a BS/BA degree; at least five years related experience in consulting, analysis, and/or reporting; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences: Excellent oral and written communication, analytical and planning skills and knowledge of standard Business Information tools and programming/query languages preferred. Ability to work and thrive as Team Player Ability to break down silos and function in a matrixed organization Understanding of common medical and Rx terms Excellent knowledge of excel and holds an understanding of data warehouse structures and data flows is strongly preferred. Experience in Tableau Understanding of Agile methodologies Experience in managed care and data analysis is preferred. Practical business experience is preferred.
