Description:
Tortorella Heating & Gas LLC, a division of Tortorella Swimming Pools, is seeking an experienced Heating Sales & Service Manager to lead and expand its high-end propane and natural gas heating operations. Based in Hampton Bays, NY, this on-site leadership role will oversee both sales and service functions with a strong focus on performance, safety, and client satisfaction.
In this multifaceted position, you will be responsible for developing and executing robust sales strategies to meet revenue goals and drive market growth. You will work in tandem with the sales team and operations leads to identify cross-selling opportunities, build lasting relationships with clients and builders, and provide training to field technicians. Your technical expertise in propane and natural gas systems—including pool and spa heaters—is essential to maintaining service excellence.
As the manager of the heating department, you will ensure the timely execution of installations, maintenance, and repairs while fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. You will monitor industry trends to inform pricing and market strategies, and you will provide budget oversight to maximize division profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
Create and implement sales strategies in collaboration with operational and revenue leads
Lead, train, and schedule teams including delivery drivers, installers, service technicians, and dispatchers
Maintain detailed product knowledge and ensure adherence to all industry regulations
Collaborate with the Heating Technical Trainer on employee development
Monitor market trends to guide pricing, product, and growth initiatives
Resolve escalated customer issues, enforce compliance, and ensure safety protocols
Develop reports on sales, service, and financial performance using data-driven insights
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience in the propane industry
Strong leadership in managing service teams and truck fleets
Technical expertise in propane and natural gas systems (including installation and maintenance)
Deep understanding of local and national industry standards
Strategic sales experience with proven success in achieving growth targets
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary: $80,000–$90,000 annually (equivalent to $6666–$7500 monthly)
