Description:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Superintendent to oversee heavy civil construction projects, including grading, paving, and concrete works for our client. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing large-scale infrastructure projects and a strong understanding of Caltrans standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all on-site construction activities for heavy civil projects.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with safety and quality standards.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
- Develop and implement project schedules, work plans, and construction methodologies.
- Monitor and control project costs, ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits to maintain compliance with safety regulations.
- Resolve any on-site issues or conflicts that may arise during the construction process.
- Prepare and submit progress reports to senior management.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in heavy civil construction, with a focus on grading, paving, and concrete works.
- Proven experience in managing large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with Caltrans standards and regulations is a plus.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
- Proficient in project management software and tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Valid California driver's license.
