Description:
Akkodis is seeking a Help Desk Engineer for a direct hire position based in Rochester, NY. This role requires a motivated and detail-oriented IT professional with strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to provide excellent technical support across hardware, software, and network environments. The ideal candidate will be organized, proactive, and capable of prioritizing client issues while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot and resolve client hardware, operating system, and software-related issues using remote support tools.
Diagnose and resolve network and server access issues, escalating when necessary to the Service Desk Manager and Account Team.
Monitor and respond to client site alerts, providing timely solutions and support.
Provide technical assistance with Microsoft environments including Windows 8, 10, 11, Microsoft 365, and related applications.
Ensure effective issue prioritization and manage client expectations professionally.
Requirements:
Previous hands-on experience with Microsoft operating systems (Windows 8, 10, 11) and Microsoft 365.
Minimum of 1 year of IT support experience covering servers, workstations, printers, and network switches.
Experience troubleshooting Microsoft Windows Server, Exchange Server, SQL Server, and Active Directory.
Strong diagnostic, problem-solving, and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and escalate issues when appropriate.
