Description:
The HR Business Partner (HRBP) plays a critical role in supporting organizational goals through the strategic and tactical management of HR functions. Working closely with leadership, the HRBP will align people strategies with the Bank’s broader strategic objectives, ensuring a positive, high-performance workplace culture while maintaining compliance with employment laws. This role is key in driving HR functions, including employee relations, recruitment, compensation, and HRIS, as well as guiding leadership through issues related to performance management, culture, and employee engagement.
Serve as the primary contact for employee relations issues, offering coaching and guidance to managers and employees.
Participate in developing HR strategies, ensuring human resources policies and programs align with business needs.
Model and champion the company’s vision, mission, and strategic plan while driving cultural transformation.
Conduct unbiased investigations into workplace concerns, ensuring fairness and compliance with employment law.
Provide policy interpretation and administration, ensuring proper application of company policies.
Manage all phases of recruiting, including sourcing, screening, negotiations, and onboarding.
Collaborate with leadership to address performance issues and handle progressive disciplinary actions.
Oversee salary administration and job classification, updating job descriptions as needed.
Respond to Texas Workforce Commission Unemployment Compensation Claims.
Mediate conflicts between parties and help resolve disputes through facilitated discussions.
Stay up to date on HR regulations and trends to ensure legal compliance and reduce risks.
Actively participate in HR projects aligned with organizational priorities.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of employee issues, resolutions, and reports supporting organizational effectiveness.
Work Experience: Minimum of 3 years of progressive HR experience, with expertise in employee relations and 2+ years of recruiting experience.
Education: High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in HR or Business Administration preferred.
Certifications: HR certifications such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP preferred.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
Experience with HRIS systems and processes.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive situations with discretion.
Strong written communication skills.
Must be able to speak, hear, read, and write for oral and written communication.
Must be able to bend, reach, and lift files up to 15 pounds.
Ability to sit for extended periods.
Must be able to see a computer monitor and type on a keyboard.
Must be mobile within an office environment.
Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
