Description:
Toyota North America is seeking a proactive and highly motivated Human Resources Generalist to join its HR team at the Toyota Battery Manufacturing North Carolina (TBMNC) facility in Liberty, NC. The HR Generalist will support a broad range of HR functions, including policy development, employee engagement, performance management, benefits, succession planning, and labor compliance. This is a dynamic, on-site role that requires strong interpersonal skills, confidentiality, and a passion for supporting both employees and leadership in creating a positive, high-performing workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
Support HR project management initiatives, including process improvements and data-driven decision-making.
Analyze HR metrics and trends to recommend solutions for continuous improvement.
Assist with performance management processes, including performance reviews, goal setting, and employee development plans.
Provide support in employee relations, including investigations, policy guidance, and conflict resolution.
Partner with corporate HR to manage salary planning, payroll, benefits, leaves of absence, and other HR programs.
Enhance employee satisfaction and engagement by resolving issues promptly and promoting HR initiatives.
Ensure HR practices and operations comply with labor regulations and company standards.
Serve as a liaison to provide HR support for all employees at TBMNC.
Participate in planning and execution of company-wide engagement events.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a closely related field.
At least 3 years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of HR practices, including employment law, payroll, investigations, and succession planning.
Experience working with HRIS systems and process improvement projects.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with strong analytical and reporting skills.
Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively across diverse assignments.
Experience planning and executing engagement events.
Preferred Qualifications (Added Advantage):
HR Certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR).
Workday HRIS experience.
Experience in manufacturing manpower planning.
Exposure to 24/7 business operations.
