Description:

Rod ‘N’ Reel Resort, a premier waterfront destination, is seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead comprehensive human resources operations. This role requires partnering closely with department heads and the executive team to build strong HR systems that support a dynamic, guest-focused workforce. The ideal candidate is process-oriented, passionate about hospitality, and has a proven track record delivering strategic HR solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning across departments

  • Administer payroll, benefits, and compensation programs

  • Oversee team member relations, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions

  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies

  • Manage HR systems such as Paylocity, employee records, and regulatory reporting

  • Coordinate training, development, and employee engagement initiatives

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field

  • 5 to 7 years of progressive HR experience with leadership responsibilities

  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, labor laws, and hospitality HR needs

  • Experience with payroll and HRIS systems (e.g., Paylocity)

  • Excellent communication skills, highly organized, and discreet

Preferred:

  • HR certification (SHRM-CP/SCP, PHR/SPHR)

  • Experience in the hospitality industry
