ROLE of the POSITION
The Director of Learning and Organizational Development at the University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV) is responsible for the assessment of organizational needs, design, implementation, and evaluation of programs that foster the learning and professional development of the university. This position works collaboratively with Human Resources (HR) leadership and functional areas, stakeholders, external vendors, and University partners in establishing, directing, and achieving organizational effectiveness objectives related to learning and professional development. This position provides service to multiple levels of the University and helps to lead change management.
This position is a member of the HR leadership team reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources and Chief People Officer and supervises a Learning and Development Specialist.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and 7-9 years of related professional experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s degree
Experience in higher education, non-profit, or public sector organization
Certification preference in any of the following: Prosci Change Management, DiSC, Strengths Finder, Real Colors, MBTI, FranklinCovey, 360 Assessments, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR
