The Human Resources Division plays a vital role in ensuring the timely, accurate, equitable, and efficient delivery of HR management services across the organization. This includes strategic staff planning, recruitment, staff administration, organizational design, learning and career development, and continuous improvement in HR operations, policies, and methods to align with evolving business needs. It also provides strategic advisory support to the Executive Director in the formulation and implementation of UN Women’s mission and strategy.

As a Human Resources Analyst (JPO), you will contribute to strengthening HR systems, policies, and processes, ensuring they are innovative, inclusive, and aligned with organizational goals. Responsibilities include:

  • Policy Development & Implementation: Supporting the creation and application of staffing policies and procedures to enhance fairness, transparency, and efficiency.

  • Recruitment Optimization: Contributing to improving recruitment processes, including the integration and optimization of digital recruitment tools.

  • Strategic HR Initiatives: Assisting in the planning, coordination, and roll-out of key HR initiatives that support organizational growth and staff development.

  • Data & Reporting: Preparing detailed HR reports, presentations, and analyses to support strategic decision-making.

  • Internal Communications: Coordinating HR communications to ensure clarity, engagement, and understanding across departments.

  • Staff Engagement: Supporting initiatives that strengthen staff engagement and well-being while ensuring alignment with UN Women’s policies and mission.

This role is part of the Swiss JPO Programme and is sponsored by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA).

Eligibility (Swiss JPO Programme):

  • Master’s degree in Human Resources, Public Administration, Business, Psychology, or a related field.

  • Swiss nationality.

  • Fluent in English (knowledge of another UN language is an asset).

  • Aged 32 or under at the time of the first interview.
