Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute (FCS) — one of the largest independent oncology and hematology practices in the United States — is seeking a Human Resources Clerk to join their corporate headquarters team in Fort Myers, FL.

The Human Resources Clerk will play a key role in supporting HR operations by managing a range of administrative and clerical duties that ensure smooth departmental functioning. This is an on-site position that requires attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
Handle incoming and outgoing phone communications with professionalism and efficiency.
Organize and issue employee identification badges for new hires and existing staff upon request.
Retrieve, input, and update employee information using computer programs and HR systems.
Scan and upload personnel documents into the HRIS Workday system for employee records.
Draft and prepare memos, correspondence, reports, and spreadsheets as directed.
Sort and distribute incoming mail; manage outgoing shipments through FedEx, UPS, and USPS.
Package and dispatch anniversary awards and recognition items for managers and remote staff.
Prepare and mail welcome kits and credentials for new hires.
Serve as the first point of contact for employment verification requests.
Verify accuracy of anniversary and excellence awards.
Maintain and update confidential company and employee records in compliance with HR standards.
Organize and securely file I-9 forms and other HR compliance documentation.
Maintain files for terminated employees and aged Workers’ Compensation claims.
Navigate and utilize the Workday HRIS and Fresh Service ticket systems effectively.
Process subpoena requests and respond within established timelines.
Provide verifications of employment upon request.
Support HR Business Partners with special projects and departmental needs.
Cover front desk duties at the corporate office (Corp 1) as required.
Perform other administrative duties and assist team members as assigned.
High School Diploma required.
Additional coursework or certification in business administration or HR is a plus.
2–3 years of clerical or administrative office experience required.
1–2 years of HR experience preferred.
Prior healthcare industry experience strongly preferred.
Familiarity with copiers, fax machines, scanners, and other office equipment essential.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Excellent time management and organizational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks.
Attention to detail and strong sense of accountability.
Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and management levels.
Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
