Description:

Aero-Graphics, a well-established geospatial firm celebrating 60 years in business in 2025, is seeking a Human Resources Manager to lead its HR function in Salt Lake City, UT. This role is an excellent opportunity for a self-driven HR leader ready to manage and strategically shape HR operations in a team of 55 professionals that includes geospatial experts, pilots, surveyors, and project managers.

As the sole HR professional in the organization, the HR Manager will be responsible for overseeing all HR processes, employee relations, legal compliance, benefits administration, and organizational development initiatives. The role plays a strategic part in enhancing the employee experience, supporting company culture, and contributing to Aero-Graphics' purpose of “Bringing our World Into View.”

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and implement strategic HR initiatives aligned with company goals.

  • Handle complex employee relations issues with professionalism, confidentiality, and legal awareness.

  • Evaluate and enhance workplace culture, leveraging tools such as Net Promoter Scores (NPS).

  • Provide guidance on HR legal compliance and labor regulations.

  • Lead training and development efforts including leadership coaching and conflict resolution.

  • Design and administer competitive employee benefits programs.

  • Develop and execute employee recognition programs and strategic engagement initiatives.

  • Ensure effective payroll handling and support accounting coordination.

  • Act as a strategic coach and thought partner to management in staffing, change, and organizational planning.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field with 5+ years of HR experience; OR 10+ years of relevant experience with HR certifications.

  • Advanced knowledge of employment law and HR principles.

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Demonstrated experience in talent development, benefits administration, and compliance.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and standard HR systems.

  • Ability to lift and handle regular office tasks; in-person availability in South Salt Lake.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • HR certifications such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR.

  • Solid problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Prior experience in payroll or accounting is a plus.

  • Strong ability to prioritize, delegate, and drive HR strategy for growing teams.

  • Experience in staffing for change management and organizational growth.


Working Conditions & Benefits:

  • On-site position (in-person) in South Salt Lake, Utah.

  • Competitive salary: $75000 – $85000 per year.
