The Imaging Scheduling Specialist I is responsible for screening, scheduling, and directing patients to appropriate locations and services within the Imaging Department.

Responsibilities

Receives all incoming phone calls and facilitates the scheduling of imaging procedures. Provides patients with division specific patient education materials to ensure they are prepared for scheduled tests/procedures. Conducts financial discussion with patients and/or provider's office regarding fees for imaging procedures according to ABN and pre-authorization guidelines. Maintains department patient schedule, ensures blocks are full and cancelled appointments are rescheduled.
