You will play a key role in handling the day-to-day operations of import shipments, ensuring compliance with international trade laws and regulations while maintaining outstanding service quality for clients. Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate all aspects of air and ocean import operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of shipments.

• Manage documentation, customs clearance, and communication with carriers, customers, and internal teams.

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and international regulations related to customs, security, and other import procedures.

• Utilize freight forwarding software such as CargoWise, SAP, or AS400 to process and track shipments efficiently.

• Collaborate closely with internal departments and external partners to ensure smooth flow of goods from origin to destination.

• Provide proactive customer service and resolve any import-related issues promptly and professionally.

• Maintain accurate records, shipment files, and billing details for audit and reporting purposes.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to team success through cross-training and collaboration.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience as an Air or Ocean Import Specialist for a freight forwarding company.

• Strong knowledge of import regulations, documentation, and compliance requirements.

• Proficiency in freight forwarding systems such as CargoWise, SAP, or AS400.

• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Strong work ethic, with the ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned responsibilities.
