Description:
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Income Tax Analyst to join our tax team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to launch a career in corporate tax. The Income Tax Analyst will be a part of a team reporting to the Income Tax Manager and be responsible for preparation of federal and state income tax returns as well as assisting in preparing the provision for income taxes, deferred tax reconciliations, tax journal entries, and schedules to be provided to external auditors and management.

Day to Day
- Main duties include the preparation of federal and state income and franchise tax returns, quarterly estimated payments, and extensions
- Assist with the monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close activities including reconciliation of tax general ledger accounts, preparing income tax provisions with reconciling items, monitoring tax accounting control procedures and identification of potential uncertain tax positions
- Help gather and organize financial data for tax filings and audits
- Assist in the administration of the Company’s federal & state income tax audits as needed
- Conduct basic tax research and summarize findings for the team

Essentials
- BS in accounting or related degree, (or expected graduation within 3 months)
- Strong academic foundation in tax, accounting, or financial reporting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills
- Ability to produce timely deliverables and manage multiple / shifting priorities
- Process-oriented with high attention to detail, accuracy, and execution
- Ability to work with a variety of internal parties and our external auditors
- Eagerness to learn and grow in a professional tax environment
- Preferred (but not required)
- Internship or co-op experience in tax, accounting, or finance
- Familiarity with tax software (e.g., OneSource)
- Progress toward CPA certification or MST degree
