Information Assurance Policy Analyst

 

Description:

The Policy Analyst will support the client’s Information Assurance Policy program team within the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) with development and maintenance of information technology related policies. The OCIO policy team develops policies that impact all aspects of IT including acquisition, portfolio management, strategy, security and assist in their implementation throughout the enterprise.

Collaboration is required across the client’s divisions and other key stakeholders to ensure appropriate checks and balances are put in place to drive IT acquisitions that always meet security requirements. The analyst will also provide policy guidance when questions or issues arise, and review proposed federal policy and law related to the CIO’s responsibilities.

The policy analyst must have a strong program management subject matter expertise, and the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders across the enterprise.

Additionally, the analyst will be expected to establish tools and redesigning processes and communications to better facilitate a more agile policy development process and bring in industry subject matter expertise to automate parts of the policy development and compliance process to improve efficiency and drive cost savings.

What You Will Need
 

  • An ACTIVE TOP SECRET federal security clearance
  • Five (5) or more years of professional experience
  • Demonstrated experience analyzing, interpreting, and synthesizing policy documents, with emphasis on information security, cybersecurity, or infosec policies
  • Proven ability to write to or about information security policies, including drafting, revising, or summarizing policies, standards, procedures, or guidance for diverse audiences
  • Strong analytical skills to assess policy impacts, identify gaps or inconsistencies, and recommend improvements based on stakeholder input and research
  • Ability to work in office in either Washington, DC or Huntsville, AL full-time.
  • US Citizenship is required.
     

What Would Be Nice To Have
 

  • Experience with developing Information Assurance policies, procedures, or standard operating procedures
  • Excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills
  • Department of Justice experience a plus
