Description:
Bechtel is seeking an Information Systems & Technology (IS&T) Technician to join the IS&T team located at the project construction site.
The IS&T Technician, reporting to the IS&T Field Lead, will be responsible for support of IS&T infrastructure and services across both the site and field offices. This includes managing and maintaining hardware, software, and operating systems. The IS&T Technician will also support video conferencing, resolve network-related issues, manage mobile devices, and oversee printing services to ensure smooth operations for end users.
Major Responsibilities
- Responsible for servicing incidents, requests, and tasks for deployed infrastructure services to end-users
- Training, problem resolution, hardware, software, and operating system upgrades for end-user computing devices (PCs as well as mobile devices)
- Follows the established technology standards, policies, support processes and security requirements
- Helps establish and monitor metrics on service delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Responsible for providing end-user support for collaboration technologies including video conferencing, smart displays like Surface Hubs, Poly, Microsoft Teams
- Supports Local Area Network and Wireless Network, etc.
- Supports end user requirements associated with Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, print and file services (including Follow Me Print) and SharePoint
- Manages and maintains assets and configuration items in ServiceNow
- Performs moves, adds, and changes
- Participate in special projects, as assigned
- Participates in the rollout of new technologies, services and security remediations
- Travel to offices/ job sites for short term project support
- Provides proactive and timely support to executives and VIPs (direct as well as remote)
- Deployment of network, routers and switches and associated patching
- Deployment and support of Teams voice and Poly video endpoints
- Develops IT reports, dashboards and automates workflows as required
- Recommends process improvement solutions
- Development of IT support guides and user training
Education And Experience Requirements
Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and a minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience or a minimum of 9+ years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree.
