The Position
- Samaritan Healthcare seeks an experienced Director of Information Technology (IT) to lead the execution and delivery of enterprise IT services, ensuring the stability, performance, and reliability of the health system’s technology environment.
- This role will be responsible for leading approximately 11+ FTEs and will oversee infrastructure, enterprise applications, and IT operations, including service management and desktop support. The director is responsible for maintaining efficient service delivery across these domains, ensuring a high-performing IT environment that supports Samaritan Healthcare’s mission and evolving healthcare needs.
- Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the Director of IT focuses on executing IT initiatives, maintaining system uptime, and optimizing IT service delivery. This leader plays a key role in major projects, including system implementations, the integration of emerging technologies such as AI, and the application of innovative design techniques to solve complex healthcare challenges. By leading cross-functional teams and ensuring seamless IT operations, the director enables Samaritan Healthcare to leverage technology to enhance patient care, improve efficiency, and drive innovation.
- This leader will drive seamless communication, ensure successful project execution, and foster a collaborative, high-performing IT environment. A primary focus will be the implementation/maintenance of systems and programs including Cisco, Rubrik, Help Desk, EPIC, UKG, and more.
- The ideal candidate is a seasoned IT leader with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities, execute effectively, and cultivate a team-driven environment. Experience managing large-scale IT projects is highly preferred. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills are essential.
- A critical component of this role is building and sustaining a high-performing team with expertise across IT disciplines. The director will evaluate team capabilities, enhance productivity, and support professional development, fostering a collaborative and engaged work environment. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information resource management, business, or equivalent is required.
- A minimum of three years of previous management experience within a related setting is required.
- Healthcare experience is required.
