Description:
Information Technology Specialist will be responsible for providing technical support and maintaining a large, diverse, and complex adult education and vocational training system. Analyzes and refining systems requirements; translates systems requirements into applications prototypes; planes and designing systems architecture; writes, debugging, and maintaining code; determines and designing applications architecture; determines output media/formats; designs user interfaces; works with customers to test applications; assures software and systems quality and functionality.
Job Description
- Installing, configuring, and maintaining hardware, software, and network systems; monitoring system performance to ensure optimal uptime.
- Troubleshooting IT issues, resolving system outages, and providing support to end-users.
- Implementing IT security protocols, monitoring for vulnerabilities, and ensuring compliance with data privacy standards.
- Planning and executing IT projects such as system upgrades, network installations, and software migrations.
- Working with other departments to understand technology requirements and integrate new technologies.
- Setting up new user accounts, managing permissions, and configuring devices and email systems.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Employment Status
Full-time (40 hours per week). Salaried. Exempt.
Qualifications
- 5 years’ experience or related experience in training development and computer systems and applications.
- Analyze and refine systems requirements.
- Translate systems requirements into applications prototypes.
- Plan and design systems architecture
- Write, debug, and maintain code.

- Designs user interfaces.

Work Environment and Travel
- This position is on site at Center for Information Warfare Training (CIWT) on board Naval Station Corey Station, Pensacola, FL. Qualified candidates should be local to Pensacola, FL, or surrounding areas to be considered for this position.
- Ability to lift items and/or equipment up to 50 lbs. on limited occasions.
- Travel up to 10% anticipated.
