Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Architect to design, implement, and oversee our core data center and networking ecosystem. The ideal candidate will be a technical powerhouse capable of bridging the gap between physical hardware and virtualized environments. You will be responsible for the health of our Proxmox clusters, the performance of our Tomcat deployments, and the robustness of our security posture through Cloudflare and SIEM integration.
Key Responsibilities
- Virtualization & Compute: Design, build, and maintain high-availability Proxmox VE clusters. Manage resource allocation, backup strategies (Proxmox Backup Server), and live migrations.
- Server Administration: Provide expert-level management of Windows Server (Active Directory, GPO) and Linux (Debian, Ubuntu, or RHEL) environments.
- Application Delivery: Act as the subject matter expert for Tomcat-based deployments, ensuring optimal JVM tuning, load balancing, and high-performance application delivery.
- Networking & Connectivity: Design and manage core networking services including IPAM, DNS (Internal/External), and Firewall configurations.
- Edge Security: Lead the setup and optimization of Cloudflare for WAF, DDoS protection, and CDN performance.
- Data Center Strategy: Oversee the end-to-end data center ecosystem, including rack layouts, power requirements, and connectivity logic.
- Security & Monitoring: Implement and refine visibility tools using Zabbix for performance monitoring and Wazuh (or similar SIEM) for threat detection and compliance.
Technical Requirements
Core Essentials:
- Proxmox Mastery: Proven experience building multi-node clusters, Ceph storage integration, and Proxmox SDN.
- OS Expertise: Deep command of Linux CLI and Windows Server administration.
- Middleware: Expert understanding of Apache Tomcat architecture, including SSL/TLS configuration and clustering.
- Networking: Strong grasp of Layer 2/Layer 3 switching, VLANs, and VPN protocols.
- Security: Hands-on experience with IPS/IDS systems and hardware/software firewalls.
- Automation: Scripting skills in Bash, PowerShell, or Python; experience with Ansible/Terraform.
Preferred Skills:
- SIEM/Monitoring: Advanced configuration of Wazuh for file integrity monitoring (FIM) and Zabbix for proactive alerting.
- Hybrid Cloud: Experience extending on-premise infrastructure into AWS (VPC, Direct Connect, EC2).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
- At Least 8+ years of experience in Infrastructure Engineering or Systems Architecture.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP, LPIC-3, AWS Solutions Architect) are highly regarded.
