Description:
The Infrastructure Manager for the Run team oversees daily operations and support for core systems, including VMware, Azure, and on-prem infrastructure. This role leads Tier 2 support, manages break/fix activities, and ensures stability, performance, and incident response across the server environment. This team handles additional run support areas including OS support, server patching, Active Directory.

Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Development:
- Manage and mentor a team of technical engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and professional growth
- Recruit, retain, and develop staff to maintain a high-performing infrastructure team
- Establish performance expectations and conduct regular evaluations to ensure continuous improvement
Infrastructure Planning & Implementation
- Develop and implement short and long-term infrastructure goals aligned with organizational objectives
- Lead infrastructure projects and initiatives to enhance system capabilities and operational efficiency
- Ensure high availability, security, and scalability of enterprise infrastructure systems
Policies, Procedures, & Performance Monitoring
- Establish and enforce policies, procedures, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for infrastructure operations
- Monitor the operations and performance of server systems to ensure optimal performance and security
- Implement best practices to maintain a highly reliable, mission-critical, geographically dispersed production environment
Technical Issue Resolution & Support
- Coordinate and resolve technical issues promptly to minimize downtime and service disruptions
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to troubleshoot and implement solutions effectively
- Provide strategic input on technology investments and enhancements
Collaboration & Strategic Initiatives
- Work closely with IT leadership to align infrastructure strategies with business needs
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance infrastructure reliability and efficiency
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant experience in lieu of can be accepted.
- Experience: Seven years of experience, including designing and implementing highly complex systems on multiple platforms
- Technical Expertise: Experience managing a highly reliable, mission-critical, geographically dispersed production environment
- Strong understanding of enterprise infrastructure, networking, and security best practices
- Knowledge of cloud-based and on-premises infrastructure solutions
- Experience with automation, configuration management, and system monitoring tools
- Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills
