Innovation Director

Description:

Infinite Consulting Corp., a top-tier project and construction management firm recognized as a 2024 Top Long Island Workplace, is hiring a Director of Innovation and Technology to lead its forward-thinking technology initiatives. This strategic position is primarily remote but requires candidates to reside in the NYC area due to occasional in-person meetings.

As a key member of the leadership team, you will be responsible for shaping and executing the company’s innovation strategy, integrating emerging technologies, overseeing infrastructure, and enhancing cross-functional collaboration through advanced tools. This role demands strong leadership skills, technological foresight, and an innovative mindset to lead internal development and external tech engagement across various sectors including safety, project controls, and scheduling.

Key Responsibilities:

• Technology Strategy & Leadership:
  Develop and drive the company’s innovation and technology roadmap to support strategic business goals. Lead and expand the internal IT and app development teams.

• Emerging Technologies:
  Evaluate and implement modern solutions such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, cloud platforms, and data analytics to optimize performance and client engagement.

• AI & Microsoft Integration:
  Create and deploy AI/ML strategies. Provide expert-level guidance on Microsoft technologies to improve internal processes and productivity.

• Project Management & Oversight:
  Lead multiple tech projects from initiation to deployment, ensuring delivery within scope, timeline, and budget. Manage Infinite’s internal app development ("Infinite One App").

• Infrastructure & Security:
  Oversee IT infrastructure including system availability, data security, scalability, and secure device provisioning. Handle employee offboarding, including access revocation and data handling.

• Collaboration & Innovation Culture:
  Partner with department heads to align technology with business operations. Cultivate a company-wide culture of innovation, digital transformation, and user adoption of new tools.

• Vendor & Compliance Management:
  Maintain partnerships with external technology providers, ensure regulatory compliance, and apply industry-standard security protocols.

Qualifications:

• Education:
  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or IT (Master’s preferred)

• Experience:
  At least 7 years in a senior tech leadership role, including managing cross-functional teams and implementing innovative systems

• Technical Expertise:

  • Proficient in AI, ML, cloud computing, data analytics, and cybersecurity

  • Experienced with Microsoft technology stack

  • Strong background in IT infrastructure and digital transformation

• Soft Skills:

  • Excellent leadership and communication abilities

  • Strong project management and budgeting skills

  • Ability to manage and scale remote teams

  • Must be willing to travel within NYC for in-person meetings
