Inside Sales Manager to lead a consumer direct mortgage sales team in Chicago, IL. 🚨

You'll report to the EVP of Inside Sales and lead a team of Inside Sales Loan Officers, with five direct reports planned. This is a nonproducing role, so you'll drive results through coaching, forecasting, and workforce planning instead of originating loans yourself.

Here's what you'll do:
🔹 Build monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts from pipeline activity and report progress to the EVP.
🔹 Coach Loan Officers daily from reports and call reviews, with production, conversion, and customer experience as your guides.
🔹 Own speed to lead, contact rates, call quality, and appointment conversion.
🔹 Build staffing forecasts and capacity plans so the team always has the coverage it needs.
🔹 Work with Operations, Underwriting, Closing, Compliance, Marketing, Product, and Technology to shorten loan cycle times and improve pull through.
🔹 Hire, onboard, and train new Loan Officers, and keep the team in line with company standards and mortgage regulations.

Here are the must haves:
✅ At least five years of mortgage industry experience.
✅ At least three years of management experience.
✅ A proven record of leading high performing consumer direct teams.
✅ Experience managing and coaching inside sales teams.
✅ Workforce management expertise.
✅ You understand telephony metrics and know how to use them.
✅ Call quality monitoring and analysis.
✅ Report driven coaching and performance management.

Here's what will make you stand out:
⭐ An active NMLS license is a plus, though it's not required.
⭐ A bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field is preferred, and equivalent experience is accepted.
⭐ Experience with a loan origination system and a CRM, plus Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, rounds out the profile.
