Description:
O'Reilly Auto Parts, one of the largest and most trusted names in the automotive industry, is seeking a Parts Specialist for its Anchorage, AK location. The Parts Specialist will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to both retail and installer customers while supporting store management in completing operational goals. Deliver excellent customer service to retail and installer customers by promptly greeting them and assisting in the selection of automotive parts and merchandise.
Promote and adhere to company service programs such as Hi-5, Low Price Guarantee, Rock the Call, Related Selling, and Rock the Lot.
Assist with phone inquiries by accurately identifying parts, quoting prices, recommending related products, and offering the Low-Price Guarantee.
Handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions accurately while maintaining and securing the cash drawer.
Process exchanges, returns, and refunds in a friendly and policy-compliant manner.
Assist management with professional customer orders and ensure all customers receive timely, quality service.
Participate in daily operational duties including freight receival, shelf stocking, cleaning, and inventory management.
Operate store testing equipment such as brake lathes after completing required training.
Perform in-store services (where permitted by state/local law) such as testing and charging batteries, scanning vehicle trouble codes, installing wipers, and replacing headlights.
Occasionally drive delivery vehicles to make customer deliveries, as needed (must meet company driving eligibility requirements).
Support store image and planogram updates to ensure product visibility and store presentation.
Uphold all O’Reilly safety, compliance, and operational standards.
Essential Requirements:
Ability to quickly and accurately match alphanumeric sequences.
Strong multitasking ability, managing both in-person and phone customers efficiently.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
A customer-focused and professional attitude.
Desired Skills & Experience:
Familiarity with automotive parts, cataloging systems, and sales processes.
ASE Certification is an advantage.
Fluency in Spanish or other languages is highly desirable.
