DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This position will have multiple areas of responsibility, in an environment of dynamic and sometimes changing priorities. The person in this position needs to respond quickly to emergent needs and work closely with the supervisor and with the rest of the team to support long-term and short-term efforts. This person will need to be able to work with the instructional design team to translate the complex learning needs of internal and external customers into web-based solutions that are understandable and useful to a variety of audiences. This person must be able to learn and understand the complexities of Child Welfare, Child Welfare Training, and the technological platforms that support the Alliance. This position will be one of the front-line people in the development of the web-based curriculum, and will embrace and distill a magnitude of content to create engaging and interactive learning programs online.

Develop online course developmental projects - 80%

  • Provide expert guidance, leadership, instructional design, and project management for online projects such as eLearning projects or supporting webinar projects.
  • Participate in discussions with other Instructional design team members to design courses.
  • Take course content provided by curriculum developers, trainers, coaches, instructors, and other experts and shape it into online offerings.
  • Produce accessible eLearnings or update existing eLearnings to meet 508 compliance standards, such as: creating alt text for images; ensuring content screen reader accessible; working with providers for ensuring subtitles are included; revising graphics to meet visible accessibility standards.
  • Support curriculum developers to revise elements in live classroom/webinar curriculum to meet accessibility standards.
  • Plan, shoot, edit, compress, and integrate videos.
  • Narrate, record, and edit audio for eLearning projects.
  • Manage eLearning development process through iterations of the product.
  • Develop resource materials, online modules, online courses, and in-person training curricula.

    Graphic Design – 15%
  • Design and produce informational charts and graphics for learning content, reports, websites, and social media.
  • Create custom illustrations or adapt stock images for learning content.

    Other Duties as Assigned - 5%
