Description:
LHF Interiors is seeking a thoughtful, detail-oriented Interior Designer to support the design and execution of high-end residential projects. This role works closely with the Principal Designer across all phases of design, balancing creative development, technical documentation, procurement, and project coordination within a collaborative studio environment.
- Collaborate with the Principal Designer on design development across all phases of residential projects while managing multiple projects concurrently.
- Translate design concepts into floor plans, construction drawings, elevations, layouts, schedules, and specifications using Chief Architect and Adobe Creative Suite (AutoCAD experience a plus).
- Create perspective views and visual materials that clearly communicate design intent, including fixtures, finishes, and furnishings.
- Source fixtures, finishes, and furnishings aligned with LHF’s aesthetic and client feedback.
- Prepare, manage, and track project budgets and estimates in Excel.
- Manage procurement using Studio Designer, including proposals, purchase orders, invoices, time tracking, and maintaining client and vendor information.
- Develop polished, client-ready design presentations using Adobe InDesign and Photoshop.
- Perform field measurements, document as-built conditions, and develop accurate as-built drawings.
- Conduct site visits and provide installation oversight to ensure design intent and quality are maintained.
- Manage project tasks, schedules, and deliverables in Asana, including monthly Gantt chart tracking.
- Support client presentations (in-person and remote), record meeting notes, and communicate design decisions and next steps.
- Assist with studio operations, including maintaining the materials library, organizing presentations, and supporting overall studio organization.
Job Requirements
- 3-5 years of residential design experience
- Bachelor’s degree or certification in Interior Design or related field preferred.
- Proficient in Chief Architect, Studio Designer, Asana, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat).
- Familiarity with trade-only manufacturers, workrooms, and showrooms.
- Reliable transportation for site visits and meetings
