Description:
This role offers the opportunity to join a fast-paced public equity operations team within a leading global investment firm. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting trade lifecycle functions, data integrity, and operational processes across multiple investment strategies. This is a hands-on role that requires strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and a collaborative mindset.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality operational support across investor relations, finance, trading, and fund management functions within the public equity platform.
- Execute core investment operations processes, including trade settlement, asset setup, reconciliation, and lifecycle management across equities, options, and swaps.
- Conduct daily reconciliations of cash and positions with custodians, brokers, and fund administrators; identify and resolve discrepancies to ensure accurate books and records.
- Oversee end-to-end trade lifecycle, ensuring timely and accurate matching, affirmation, and settlement of trades; proactively resolve trade-related issues.
- Review daily reports and internal controls to uphold data accuracy within internal systems.
- Manage the Security Master File and process corporate actions to maintain clean and complete asset data.
- Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and external service providers, including prime brokers, counterparties, fund administrators, and custodians.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide operational coverage and enhance institutional knowledge across asset classes.
- Continuously evaluate and improve operational workflows, contributing to efficiency and best practices within the public equity operations team.
Desired Background / Education
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field; minimum GPA of 3.25.
- 1-3 years of relevant work experience in investment operations, trade settlements, or capital markets operations.
- Familiarity with investment accounting platforms (e.g., Advent Geneva) preferred.
- Experience working with equity derivatives, particularly total return swaps, is a plus.
- Proficiency with Bloomberg and other financial/trade processing systems is beneficial.
