It Business Analyst

Description:

Cloud and Things is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive IT Business Analyst to support a modernization and redesign project in the public sector. This is a remote contract opportunity ideal for a highly skilled professional with proven experience in capturing and translating business requirements, process mapping, and working within agile teams. The selected candidate will contribute to transformative government IT initiatives and collaborate with diverse cross-functional stakeholders.

The role requires proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics 365, strong documentation and communication skills, and experience with mobile app or public sector projects. Candidates must be able to translate stakeholder needs into actionable documentation such as user stories, use cases, and process flows. Additionally, you’ll support validation, testing, and ongoing client engagement throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business and functional requirements.

• Create process maps, workflows, and visual documentation for current and future states.

• Translate business needs into user stories, use cases, and detailed specifications.

• Work closely with development teams to ensure accurate implementation of requirements.

• Facilitate validation and testing to confirm alignment with business goals.

• Lead and document client meetings while maintaining traceability of requirements.

• Assist in change management and communication efforts for process updates.

Mandatory Qualifications:

• 6+ years of Business Analyst experience.

• Hands-on experience in mobile app or public sector IT projects.

• Expertise in process mapping tools (e.g., BPMN, swimlanes, flowcharts).

• Strong communication and client-facing skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics 365.

• Familiarity with agile or iterative development methodologies.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
