Jr. Sales Associate

 

Description:

The Junior Sales Associate in our Greenwich Office plays a vital role in supporting the advisory and institutional sales team by driving outreach, managing prospective relationships, and helping to prepare high-impact sales materials. Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Advisory and Institutional Division, this role focuses on strengthening relationships with advisory and institutional investment teams. Ideal for someone eager to build a long-term career in institutional field sales, this position combines traditional sales responsibilities with light marketing tasks that help enhance outreach, communication, and client engagement.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support senior sales professionals in identifying, researching, and qualifying prospects, helping to build and maintain a robust pipeline.
  • Assist in preparing sales presentations, pitch decks, RFP responses, and client proposals tailored to the needs of institutional and advisory decision-makers.
  • Manage CRM (e.g., Salesforce) records to ensure prospect and client data is current, accurately tracking outreach, meetings, and follow-up actions.
  • Draft, coordinate, and send direct sales outreach emails using marketing automation tools (e.g., HubSpot), ensuring messaging is aligned with sales goals and firm-wide marketing efforts.
  • Coordinate meeting logistics, agendas, and customized follow-up materials to support face-to-face client meetings, roadshows, and due diligence sessions.
  • Monitor industry trends, consultant updates, institutional search activity, and market developments to help inform targeting strategies and client conversations.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to leverage campaigns, thought leadership, and product materials, ensuring sales messaging is consistent and timely.
  • Track and report on sales activities and engagement metrics, helping the team refine outreach strategies and prioritize high-potential opportunities.
  • Act as a proactive partner to the senior sales team, providing administrative and operational support that enables effective prospecting and deepens client relationships.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in finance, economics, business, or a related field.
  • 1–2 years of experience in sales, business development, client service, or financial services; prior exposure to the institutional investment space or asset allocator segment is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to craft professional and persuasive outreach communications.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and marketing automation tools (e.g., HubSpot) is preferred; willingness to learn is essential.
