Description:
Chipotle Mexican Grill is hiring a Kitchen Leader for its Cupertino, California location. This full-time position offers a hands-on leadership opportunity for individuals passionate about food quality, kitchen operations, and team development.
As a Kitchen Leader, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the food is freshly prepared, delicious, and compliant with Chipotle’s standards of safety and cleanliness. You will supervise back-of-house operations, maintain inventory, and support the development of team members, fostering a strong team dynamic that ensures a smooth and efficient kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure high food quality through proper preparation and adherence to procedures
Cook and prep food to order while minimizing waste
Maintain kitchen cleanliness, organization, and proper equipment functionality
Monitor inventory levels and resolve any food quality or equipment issues
Train and develop team members to prepare them for leadership roles
Ensure safety protocols are followed to prevent injuries or accidents
Complete kitchen documentation including MSDS and inventory rotation (FIFO)
Effectively communicate with team members and support customer service efforts
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma
Restaurant experience required
Ability to speak, write, and understand the primary language(s) of the workplace
Understanding of Chipotle’s “Food With Integrity” philosophy
Compensation and Benefits:
Base hourly wage: $21.25–$23.65 USD (Monthly: $3,675–$4,099 USD)
Eligible for digital tips in addition to base pay
