Description:
Mission Technologies, a division of HII, is seeking a Knowledge Management Specialist to support full-spectrum cyber operations at Fort Meade, Maryland. This role falls under HII’s Warfare Systems (WS) business group, which specializes in cyber and mission IT, electronic warfare, and C5ISR systems.
As a Knowledge Management Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in developing, implementing, and managing systems and processes that capture, organize, and utilize critical knowledge across the organization. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure effective information sharing, collaboration, and knowledge dissemination within a high-security environment supporting U.S. Department of Defense cyberspace operations.
You will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to promote the effective use of knowledge resources, streamline communication channels, and enhance operational efficiency. Additionally, you will support initiatives aimed at integrating knowledge management practices into core organizational activities and provide assistance in developing educational and training materials to strengthen institutional learning and expertise.
Develop and implement strategies for knowledge management and sharing within the organization.
Manage and maintain the organization’s knowledge management environment to ensure consistent, efficient information flow.
Promote the use of collaborative tools to enhance communication and coordination among teams.
Input and maintain data accuracy within knowledge and data management systems.
Build partnerships to support knowledge sharing initiatives across projects and departments.
Create and manage knowledge resources such as articles, guides, and training materials.
Support staff in adopting best practices for capturing and utilizing institutional knowledge.
0 years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field OR
4 years of related experience with a High School Diploma or equivalent.
Active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance is mandatory.
3+ years of experience as a Knowledge Management Specialist.
Demonstrated ability to build, manage, and share knowledge effectively.
Experience with data collection systems and ensuring accuracy in documentation.
Strong collaboration and partnership-building skills.
Proven ability to develop knowledge-based materials and support training initiatives.
