Laboratory Manager

Description:

We are seeking an experienced Laboratory Manager – Anatomic Pathology to oversee laboratory operations in a modern academic medical center environment in Nashville, Tennessee.

This leadership position will oversee Histology and Pathologists' Assistant teams, with responsibility for daily operations, staffing, budgeting, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and operational performance.

The ideal candidate will have laboratory leadership experience, strong operational management skills, and a background in Anatomic Pathology.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily Anatomic Pathology laboratory operations.
• Manage Histology and Pathologists' Assistant teams.
• Lead staffing, scheduling, and workforce management.
• Manage departmental budgets and resources.
• Monitor laboratory quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Develop and implement operational improvements.
• Support quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with pathologists, laboratory staff, and clinical leadership.
• Ensure laboratory operations meet applicable regulatory and organizational standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant laboratory leadership experience.
• Experience managing laboratory staff, operations, and quality programs.
• Tennessee Licensed Medical Laboratory Supervisor license or ability to obtain one.
• Strong leadership, communication, and operational management skills.
