Laboratory Technician

Description:

ECLARO, in partnership with a globally recognized consumer products company, is hiring a Microbiology Laboratory Technician for a contract position located on-site in Piscataway, NJ. This opportunity is ideal for candidates with foundational laboratory skills and a keen interest in microbiological testing, lab operations, and supporting scientific innovation in a team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare microbiological media, conduct QC sterility checks, and perform media growth promotion testing

• Handle and weigh specimens aseptically while maintaining a clean and sterile work environment

• Conduct microbiological testing of water samples according to standard operating procedures

• Maintain accurate, up-to-date laboratory records and documentation

• Support laboratory housekeeping, autoclaving of waste, equipment calibration, and supply stocking

• Serve as a backup to Lab Analysts and participate in lab investigations and group projects

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 6 to 12 months of prior experience in a microbiology laboratory setting is preferred

• Familiarity with GMP standards and aseptic techniques is a strong plus

• High attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

• Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively

• Strong focus on precision and accurate data handling

Compensation & Benefits:

• Hourly wage: $19.31 (approx. $3345/month)
