Landscape Scientist

Description:

Pine & Swallow is seeking a person with strong technical skills for site soil and drainage investigations, laboratory analysis, technical writing, and construction observation. Compensation is dependent on skills and experience.

Qualifications:

· Minimum of a college degree with course work in one or more of the following - Soil Science, Geology, Chemistry, Hydrogeology, Landscape Architecture, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, Horticulture or a related field.

· Interest in the technical aspects of landscape design and construction.

· Strong communication skills, attention to detail and ability to write reports.

· Excellent technical writing skills.

· Experience with CAD and project collaboration platforms, such as Procore, Bluebeam and ShareFile, is a plus.

· Ability to read and analyze landscape architecture design plans and details.

· Must be comfortable on project construction sites.

· Must have a valid driver’s license, a good driving record and ability to drive to site visits in urban areas.

· Willing to do occasional travel by air.

· Willing to assist with a wide range of tasks.
