Description:
Ulta Beauty is seeking a passionate and customer-focused Lead Cashier to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring an efficient and exceptional guest experience at the cashwrap while maintaining high store standards. As an experienced cashier, you will assist in training new hires and cross-training other associates, driving sales and loyalty engagement. You will support store leadership by handling opening and closing register functions, guest interactions, and compliance with company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Performance:
- Contribute to achieving store sales goals, including retail, services, omni-channel, and loyalty programs.
- Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting and engaging guests, personalizing their experience, and recommending Ulta Beauty products/services.
- Handle sales, refunds, and exchanges professionally and efficiently.
- Assist guests by booking appointments for in-store services and events.
- Maintain the organization and replenishment of cashwrap displays and impulse fixtures.
People:
- Foster an inclusive and supportive work environment.
- Conduct cashier check-ins/check-outs and associate exit inspections as needed.
- Stay informed about beauty trends, products, and services to better assist guests.
- Promote and educate guests on Ulta Beauty’s loyalty programs, including credit and the mobile app.
- Train new cashiers and support cross-training efforts for other associates.
- Lead by example, motivating team members to achieve store goals.
- Drive cashier accountability in delivering an exceptional, personalized customer experience.
Process:
- Ensure compliance with Ulta Beauty’s policies and procedures.
- Properly complete transactions, including returns and associate purchases, while maintaining cash control.
- Perform register opening and closing functions as directed by management.
- Maintain a clean and organized store, including the cashwrap, sales floor, restrooms, backroom, and break area.
- Minimize loss by following store standards and operational procedures, including workplace safety, inventory control, and loss prevention.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma preferred.
- Experience: 2 years of relevant work experience or equivalent.
- Strong customer service and sales skills.
- Ability to multitask, delegate, and problem-solve.
- Proficiency in basic technology (POS systems, Apple devices).
- Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt and react under pressure.
Special Position Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be able to lift/move up to 25 lbs. and perform physical tasks such as bending, pulling, pushing, crouching, and standing for long periods.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Pay Range: 17.50 - 25.50 per hour (2800 - 4080 per month)
