Ulta Beauty is seeking passionate and customer-focused Lead Cashiers to join our team. This role is essential in delivering exceptional guest experiences, ensuring efficient transactions, and upholding high cashwrap standards. As a Lead Cashier, you will play a key role in training new associates, driving sales and loyalty programs, and supporting store leadership in operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
Performance:
- Drive sales and loyalty program sign-ups, including credit applications.
- Deliver exceptional guest service by engaging customers, recommending products, and assisting with beauty services.
- Handle sales transactions, refunds, and exchanges efficiently.
- Ensure the cashwrap area is organized, stocked, and guest-ready at all times.
- Assist in booking appointments for in-store beauty services and events.
People:
- Provide a welcoming and inclusive environment for guests and team members.
- Train and mentor new cashiers and cross-train associates in cashiering duties.
- Lead by example, ensuring cashiers deliver an outstanding customer experience.
- Stay up-to-date with beauty trends, products, and services to enhance customer interactions.
Process:
- Maintain store standards, including cleanliness at the cashwrap, sales floor, restrooms, and backroom.
- Complete register open/close procedures, cashier chat-ins/outs, and associate exit inspections.
- Follow loss prevention and safety protocols, ensuring all transactions comply with company policies.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 2+ years of relevant experience in retail, sales, or customer service.
- Strong cash-handling skills and experience in POS systems.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and adapt to changing environments.
- Passion for beauty products and customer engagement.
- High school diploma preferred.
Salary & Benefits:
- Hourly Pay: $16.50 - $22.00 per hour
- Overtime Pay (as required by law)
