We are seeking a Lead Graphics Engineer who is passionate about guiding the architecture for our new rendering engine. You will lead a team of graphics programmers focused on creating cutting-edge technology for Blizzard’s new AAA title. When particularly hard problems arise, you'll draw upon the team's collective creativity to define and execute a technical vision that meets the project's needs.

We need help with

  • Managing, evaluating, and mentoring the engineering staff of the graphics team.

  • Partnering with the production staff and the rest of the leadership team for milestone planning and tracking development progress.

  • Providing technical leadership and insight across all areas of the graphics pipeline.

  • Guiding the design and architecture of new rendering systems.

  • Maintaining the vision for our rendering engine and ensuring it consists of high-quality, stable, and performant code.

  • Working across multiple disciplines to plan timelines and feature development.

What you are good at

  • 8+ years of experience, or equivalent education/work experience

  • Writing fluent C++ code with advanced knowledge of both historical patterns and modern language features.

  • Shaders, GPU programming, and knowledge of modern rendering pipelines (DirectX12, Vulkan, etc.).

  • A strong understanding of the GPU architecture, game content pipelines, and tools.

  • Performance analysis and code optimization.

  • Caring about the people who work for you, prioritizing their success, and finding ways to motivate and mentor them.
